Lloyds Bank

I don’t like TV ads from banks. I especially find the Lloyds Bank ads particularly galling and vomit inducing. I watched a film the other day called the The Big Short. It’s about the financial crash in 2007-2009, the subprime crisis and the role of banks and other financial institutions in it. It’s a good film.

So, when Lloyds Bank, which incidentally had to be bailed out by the taxpayer to the tune of £20.4 billion following the economic meltdown and was also centre stage in the PPI mis-selling scandal, produces ads with headlines and strap-lines that state that ‘You’re not alone”, you’ve just got to laugh (at best). Or in my case just vomit.
